Josephine L. Arabie, "Maw Jo", age 81, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2013 after touching everyone's life with much love, kindness and respect. A native of Lafourche Parish, she currently resided in Biloxi, Mississippi.
After retiring from being a bus driver to special needs children in St. Charles Parish for 20 years, she was able to dedicate her life to her favorite hobbies of sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking for those around her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Nelson Loupe, Sr.; her mother, Ursula Creole Loupe; her daughter, Jerry (Perry) Simoneaux; and her brother, George Loupe.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Johnny) Klumpp and Linda (Gary) White; her grandchildren, Lori, Mike, Beanie, Sandy and Danielle; and her great-grandchildren, Jayme, Gianni, Luke, Katelynn, Evan and Abigail.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace, LA on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Catholic Charities, 1450 North St. Gulfport, MS 39507.
