Joshua Scott Bozeman

Joshua Scott "Bozo" Bozeman, age 21, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, January 12, 2006, in Wiggins, MS. Joshua was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. He attended Nativity BVM Elementary and graduated from Mercy Cross High School with honors in 2003. Josh attended USM, Perkinston Jr. College, and was currently a student at Mississippi State University, where he was a Marketing Major. Joshua has had his share of "tough times" growing up, and we are blessed to have had God's gift for 21 years. As someone once said of Josh, "It is not where you have been and what you have traveled through, it is where you are going and how many lives you'll touch along the way." Josh was a five year starting pitcher with Mercy Cross, and as an eighth grader, the youngest player to be selected to the varsity team. Josh loved and participated in all sports including football, golf, basketball, soccer and hockey in addition to his passion for baseball. He was always full of life and he loved to be surrounded by his friends, just as he was at the end. Joshua was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, the late, Mr. William "DeDad" Bozeman and the late Mr. Leo Crapo. Joshua is loved and survived by his parents, Mike and Pam Bozeman; his sister, Angie Bozeman and his brother, Bryan Bozeman; his Grandmothers, Mrs. Floyce Bozeman and Mrs. Dottie Crapo Uchello, all of Biloxi, MS. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Nativity BVM Cathedral at 11:30am where friends may visit two hours prior to service time. Burial to follow in Southern Memorial Park. Those wishing to make a donation may consider Mercy Cross Baseball Team, 870 Nativity Drive Biloxi, MS 39530 or Caps for Kids 200 Henry Clay Avenue New Orleans, LA 70118.
