Joyce Marie Hassler

Joyce Marie Hassler, 75, of Gulfport, a loving wife, mother and friend passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamondhead, Ms. She was born on December 7, 1934 in Biloxi . Joyce enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends while serving in ministry with her husband, Reverend Eugene Hassler for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Foutain, Sr. and Hattie Fountain; a sister, Lucille Tillman; and brothers, Ernest Fountain, Jr. and R.B. Fountain. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Eugene H. Hassler of Gulfport; a son, Billy Hassler of Long Beach; daughters, Peggy Leboeuf of Lagos Nigeria, Cathy Smith of Moss Point, and Darla Kinsey of Long Beach; a sister, Ruth Landess of Gulfport; and brother, Rev. Darryl Fountain of Ardmore, OK. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The family of Joyce Hassler would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Woodland Village Nursing Center for their exceptional care for our mother and family. The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Gulfport where friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until the service.
