Juanita B. Henley

Juanita B. Henley passed away peacefully at her home while surrounded by her loved ones on February 9, 2023, after a long battle with lung cancer.

Juanita was known for her wicked sense of humor, blunt honesty, unique way with words, and her strong, strong faith in our Lord. She was so loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.

Juanita is survived by her devoted husband of 64 and a half years, Roger Henley; daughter, Cheryl Collins (Mike); grandson, Nicholas Henley (Crystal); great-granddaughters, Rebecca Alexander and Brooklyn Henley; nephew, Teddy Motley; and nieces, Dwin Kwitkowski, Stacey Oatman, and Mika Blackwood.  

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Henley; grandson, Daniel Henley; and four siblings, Raymond Blackwood, Lucille Motley, Herbert Blackwood, and Wayne Blackwood.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Kare-In-Home Hospice. They would like to especially thank her personal care staff, Courtney Davidson, Holly Waltman, and Cammie Wilkerson. The care and love provided by these ladies was invaluable to the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in Juanita's name to Fernwood Baptist Church, 2307 E. Pass Road, Gulfport, MS, 39507.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit two hours prior.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Old Bradley Cemetery in Wing, AL.
