Juanita Marie Rose

Juanita Marie Rose, age 85, of Gulfport, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at her home in Gulfport. She was born in Pleasanton, NE and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1951. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred V. Rose in 1969, killed in Hurricane Camille, and a son, attorney Jim W. Rose in 1993. Always dedicated to her family, a purist in heart and soul we are thankful to have been raised and loved by her. Our Mother is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Elmore (Roger) of Gulfport; two sons, Don Rose of Las Vegas, NV and Richard Rose of Gulfport; nine grandchildren, Tanya Rose Barrett, Derek Rose, Dr. Alicia Rose Hathorn, Sumer Rose, Tyler Rose, Jessica Elmore, Chad Elmore, Zachary Rose, and Cayle Rose; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Barrett and Millis Rose Hathorn. Our Mom, Our Mother, and Our Mema will be missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport.
