Judith “Judy” Ann Guthy, 84, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 5, 2024. Judy was born November 28, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Marguerite Weibel.
Judy attended nursing school in Chicago before starting her family. She worked in civil service at Keesler Air Force Base as a secretary for several years until she became a caregiver for her mom. Later on, she became an attendant at Coastal Coin Laundry in Ocean Springs where she thrived working with the public and made so many friends.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marguerite Weibel; husband, Donald John Guthy; grandchild, Matthew Reeves; and sibling, Max Ocic.
Survivors include her children, Elizabeth (Rick) Pendowski, Peggy Reeves, Susan (Rick) Chenevert, Donna (Billy) Westbrook, and Debbie (Mark) Stafford; grandchildren, Katie Bennett, Geoff Lott Jr., Stephanie (Steve) Reeves, Jessica (James) Stringfield, Lauren (Jeremy) Ramer, Landon Chenevert, Janae (Ryan) Heath, Denver Romero, Connor Westbrook, Keith (Rebecca) Guice, Justin (Savanna) Stafford, Chance (Bristi) Westbrook, and John Westbrook; great grandchildren, Mina, Vaden, and Harlow Bennett, Angelina Reeves, Braedon Lott, Isabella Jenkins, Kayleigh Stringfield, Chase Matthew Stringfield, Ella Grace Ramer, Maddox and Luke Ramer, Madison and Kip Heath, Matthew and Lily Guice, Greyson Stafford, Brooklyn and Brayden Flaherty, Will Westbrook, and Mikaela and Logan Westbrook; and sibling, George Ocic.
A private vigil and service will be held. Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Catholic Garden, Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy’s name to the Ocean Springs Fire Department.
