Judson O'Neal "Boe" Parnell died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:30 a.m. in Vancleave, MS at the age of 85.
He was born August 26, 1933 in Hawthorne, AL to Tony and Grace Parnell. He attended elementary school in Chatom, AL. He married Bobbie Fountain on November 12, 1958. Boe served his country as a United States Marine in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1956. Boe was the founder of Parnell Construction Company in 1969, where he performed marine construction along the Gulf Coast over a period of 30 years.
Boe was an avid deer hunter and loved to fish. He was a member of Larue Baptist Church in Larue, MS.
Boe is preceded in death by his parents, Tony "Daddy Mike" Parnell and Grace Howard Parnell of Tibbie, AL; his children, Jelanie Davis and Edward Dean Parnell, both of Vancleave, MS; three sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Fountain Parnell; son, Tony (Martha) Parnell; daughter, Teresa Davis; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at the Vancleave Cemetery on Jim Ramsey Road.
The family would like to thank the caregivers on the on the fourth floor at the Mobile Infirmary located in Mobile, AL for their efforts, care, and dedication.
