Judson W. Harney, age 57, died peacefully on September 28, 2006 of cancer. Judd was born on April 11, 1949 in Somerset, New Jersey and was raised in Pasadena, California. Judd became a Southerner by choice in 1976 when he moved to Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Betty Harney; brothers, David and Garth; and father-in-law, Harvey Pucheu. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Pucheu Harney and daughter, Jill Harney of Gulfport; daughter, Kim Merritt of Arizonia; and son, Jerome Harney of California. He is also survived by his siblings, Terry, Betsy, Susie and Kit of California, Tim of Gulfport and Jackie of Nevada; his sister-in-law, Pat Harney and brother-in-law Steve Rigamat of California and sister-in-law, Patty Harney of Nevada; his son-in-law, Ron Merritt of Arizona and daughter-in-law, Jamie Harney of California; and four grandchildren, Joshua and Naomi Merritt and Jack and Jason Harney. His local survivors include his mother-in-law, Gloria Pucheu, sisters and brothers-in-law, Porter and Connie Pucheu, Renee and Michael Ward, Judy and David O'Neal, Jo Anne and Clay Daniels, Jon Pucheu , Randy and Juli Pucheu and all their children. His extended family includes Heather Leblanc and her son, Jackson whom he adored. The family wishes to thank Debbie Eaker of Memorial Hospice for her excellent care and concern.
