Julian Hayman

Julian Ernest Hayman, 74 of Vancleave, MS, passed away on July 24, 2023 at Ocean Springs Hospital.

He was born on July 5, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL to Archie Hayman and Virginia Lairsey. He graduated from Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne, FL. He was employed as a welder, entrepreneur, and contract safety and quality control officer and served in the US Marine Corp. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, thrifting, cooking, and wood carving, as well as frequent visits to the Great Smokey Mountains.

Julian was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Hayman and Virginia Lairsey.

He is survived by his spouse, Diedra Hayman; children, Chris (Sherri) Hayman, Julia (Tony) DeForest, Sarah (David) Schmidt, Beverly (Bradley) Adair, and Steven (Dawn) Staten; grandchildren, Owen Schmidt, Asa Schmidt, and Cora Schmidt; sister, Linda Best; and dog, Louie.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the amazing staff and Ocean Springs Hospital who cared for him the past six months. They would also like to thank the Vancleave Community and friends for prayers and support.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant UMC, 13900 Mt Pleasant Rd, Vancleave, MS 39565. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time.
