June Bonck Ford, age 83, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Ocean Springs, MS. June was born on May 23, 1935 in New Orleans, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, and a devoted parishioner of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Biloxi, MS.
June received a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics from Southeastern Louisiana College in Hammond, LA, in 1957. She was an avid seamstress, painter, and home chef. She worked at Neiman Marcus, for Dallas Power & Light, and was a flight attendant and a reservations agent for Delta Airlines. But she found her true passion as a baker; June was the owner of June's Cake Fantasies in Metairie, LA, and co-owner of Sweet Stuff in Biloxi, MS.
Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her parents, John Porter Bonck and Ethel Jacob Bonck; as well as her beloved husband of 52 years, Donald R. Ford.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Michael Ford and Kathleen Shannon Ford, both of New Orleans, LA; and one grandson, Carter Adam Klassen Ford of Ankeny, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Biloxi, MS, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit one-hour prior. Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home in New Orleans, LA, at 1:30 p.m. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
