June Frances Holt

June Frances Holt, age 87, passed away in Ocean Springs on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Mrs. Holt was born in Hamilton, Caldwell County, Missouri to Opal and Russell Stephens. She graduated from Penney High School in Hamilton and then attended and graduated from Cottey College and University of Missouri. She married her husband, Jack L. Holt, in Hamilton in 1955. Mrs. Holt was a former schoolteacher. She was a partner in her husband’s engineering company, Land Planning Consultants, which took the family to resort developments in Missouri, Tennessee and Mississippi. They returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1997. She was an avid reader and an active member of P.E.O. organization that provides educational opportunities for women. Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Holt; sister, Rosemary Prints; and by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Holt and her husband, Howard Jefferson of Asheville, NC; her son, Jim Holt and his wife, Gerry Ann Creel Holt of Biloxi; and two grandsons, Jared Holt of Biloxi and Jeffrey Holt of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her niece, Joy Prints Casas and nephew, Andrew Prints. The family would like to thank Crystal Riggins and staff for the care and support over the past few months.
