June L. Cutrer, Sr.

Mr. June L. Cutrer, Sr., 80, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Sunday, December 6, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Cutrer was born in Hattiesburg, MS and had been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 4 years. He enjoyed working in construction and loved hunting, fishing and bluegrass music. He was an avid gardener and a fan of LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Mr. Cutrer was preceded in death by his parents, June N. and Ruby Cutrer; and a brother, John Cutrer. Survivors include his daughter, Susan Cutrer of Ocean Springs; sons, J. L. (Beverly) Cutrer, Jr. of Walker, LA, and D. Scott (Jerri) Cutrer of Grand Island, NE; sisters, Dot Howell of Houston, TX, Jeanette Jenkins and Cherry Hilborn of Baton Rouge, LA; and Judy Cutrer of Zachary, LA; brothers, Jack Cutrer of Baton Rouge, LA, and Hebron Cutrer of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and attention provided Mr. Cutrer by his caregivers, Gloria Broome, Barbara Ferguson, Darle Ferguson, Kim Carroll, Cynthia Fox and Sharon Fox, and the employees of the Gardens Assisted Living in Ocean Springs. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009, at 10 AM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit from 9 AM - 10 AM.
