Karen Faye DeLatte

Karen Faye DeLatte, 60, of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Wiggins. Karen was born February 24, 1956 in Gretna, LA to Clarence and Anne DeLatte. She was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 20 years. Karen was a devout Christian and a caregiver to human kind, as exemplified in her religious studies and receipt of her nursing assistant certification. She showed endless affection to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Wanda DeLatte; and her son, Ron Griffin. Karen’s survivors include her daughter, Shannon Verdin; and “the dogs”. A special thanks to all of Karen’s family and friends who loved her in her journey through life. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until service time. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Thibodeaux, LA.
