Karen Ann Gilbert

Karen Ann Gilbert, age 57, of Biloxi died Sunday, August 16, 2015. Karen was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a 1976 graduate of Biloxi High School and of the Catholic faith. She was formerly employed with the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Biloxi School Cafeteria and Suarez Seafood Co. She was also a former member of the Fleur de Lis Society. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth “Sugar Boy” Gilbert. Survivors include her mother, Betty Ann Gilbert; sister, Sandra Adkins; niece, Lydia “Nicole” Phillips (Jason); nephew, William “Kenny” Adkins; her canine companion, Cupcake; and many cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Marian Wainwright and her staff and Brenda Hoffman with Southern Care Hospice. Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 7pm. Friends may visit from 6-8pm.
