Karl M. Wilfong

Karl M. Wilfong, age 93, left this world peacefully on Thursday, October 15th, 2015, leaving behind his wife of 73 years, Roberta Wilfong. He resided in Ocean Springs, MS. Mr. Wilfong grew up on a farm in Upshur County West Virginia and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he enjoyed a long career with Goodyear Aerospace as a Technical Representative dealing with aircraft braking systems, with assignments in Akron, Ohio and Sembach Air Base in Germany. Mr. Wilfong was a 32nd-degree Mason. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Weaver, and her husband, John Wilson, and a granddaughter, Dr. Shaun McKee, and her husband, Dr. John D. McKee, as well as teenage great-grandsons, Jack McKee and Christian McKee. Other survivors include loving sisters Jo, Sue, and Jeanne, his kid brother Jim, and many terrific nieces and nephews. They all live much too far away. The immediate family will honor his memory in a small private service. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
