Katherine Renner

Mrs. Kathryn Renner passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, June 12th at 6:30 am. She lived at the Villa Maria in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Renner was born June 3rd, 1914 in Pennsylvania and was married to her husband Milan Renner for 67 years. They raised their three children in Gary, Indiana. Mrs. Renner is preceded in death by her husband, Milan Renner and her son, Richard Renner. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Miller, wife of Neal Miller of Ocean Springs, and Joan Chirby, wife of Richard Chirby of Merrillville, Indiana. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a strong woman with dignified beauty and a loving heart. Her self-sacrificing nature and dedication to her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, from 9:30 AM - 11 AM, with an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
