Kathryn Louise Douglas

Kathryn Louise Douglas, 98, of Woolmarket, MS passed away at her home on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Mrs. Douglas was born on February 17, 1925 in Brookhaven, MS to Horace and Polly Gibson. She was a faithful member of Woolmarket Baptist Church and a longtime Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Douglas enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Burnice Carver and Bennie Douglas; her son John Carver; her parents; and her siblings, Joe Gibson and William Roy Giardina.

Mrs. Douglas’ survivors include her children, Virginia (Johnny) Brumley, David (Dean) Douglas, Roy (Trina) Douglas and Shirley Hobbs; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Woolmarket Baptist Church.
