Mrs. Kathryn (Kay) Alexander Miller, 70, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on August 9, 2010. She was a long time resident of Ocean Springs and a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Miller was born September 27, 1939 in Harrison County, MS to Hubert Leon Alexander and Flora Gene O’Neal Alexander Breland. She graduated from Wiggins High School and continued her education at Perkinston Junior College. Kay completed her education at Perk and on June 14, 1958 married Percy Thomas Miller (1931-2003). Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Miller of Ocean Springs, MS and Craig (Cathy) Miller of Jackson, MS, and grandchildren, Farris, Murray, and Tate Miller of Jackson, MS, and Karly and Blake Miller of Ocean Springs, MS. She is also survived by two brothers, Wynn (Carolyn) Alexander, and Gene (Wynell) Alexander, all of Wiggins, MS, and by her late husband’s brother, Terry (Thelma) Miller, and sisters, Maude (Rev. Bob) Storie, and Virginia (Larry) Williams, and sister-in-law Deborrah Miller, all of Ocean Springs. Mrs. Miller was active in her community, having served on the board of the Ocean Springs Library Commission, and was a former member of the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Junior Auxiliary, Epsilon Sigma Alpha service sorority, as well as a former President of the Kings Daughters and Sons. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 11 at 9AM with the funeral service following at 11AM, at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Porter Avenue in Ocean Springs. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
