Kathy Wendling Andrews

Katherine “Kathy” Stella Wendling Andrews, of Gulfport passed away suddenly on the evening of Tuesday, January 10, 2024 in Gulfport, MS at the age of 73. 

Kathy was born in Gulfport, MS on July 28, 1950 to proud parents Alphonse and Kathleen Wendling. She was their first born and became the oldest of 7. She graduated from Gulfport East High School in 1968. Being a life- long resident of the MS Gulf Coast, she made a career working at John Fayard Moving & Warehouse.  

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Kathleen Wendling; and her little sister, Irene Antoinette Wendling. 

She is survived by her 3 children, Ricky (Suzanne) Fairley, Todd (Jennifer) Fairley, and Tina Fairley all of Saucier, MS; her 5 siblings, Connie (Porter) Pucheu, Dickie (Jeneane) Wendling, Jimmy (Johnna Harrison) Wendling, Sandra (Stevie) Delaney, Matt (Christina) Wendling, all of the MS Gulf Coast; her 11 grandchildren who called her Mawmaw, Austin, Trent, Brett, Michael, Alysia, Colten, Easten, Brennen, Everly, Haylie, and Aniya; 11 great -grandchildren, Ryleigh, Aubrey Kate, Halle, Blake, Liam, Wylder, Rowdy-Rae, Leilani, AJ, Jaycee, and Ja'Corey with another on the way; numerous family and friends. 

Every day was a good day in Kathy’s eyes and she embraced each day with a beautiful smile on her face.  Kathy loved being the matriarch of her family, her children and grandchildren were her world, and she loved them with every ounce of her being. She will be remembered for her big heart, gorgeous smile, and infectious giggle.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Rd, Gulfport, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
