It is with heavy hearts we have to announce the passing of Kathy Lynn Flowers, 58, on August 24, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Kathy was a loving mother and good friend to many and will be deeply missed.
Originally from Clovis, New Mexico, Kathy migrated to the Gulf Coast and discovered the place she would truly call home in 1990 after graduating from ENMU-Clovis campus as a radiology technician. She worked at Keesler AFB hospital as an instructor and was employed as an assistant manager at Food Giant in Biloxi until her passing.
Kathy was a long-time member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms and a consummate amateur chef specializing in Medieval and Renaissance cuisines.
Kathy is survived by her son, Jared, and brother, James, both of Biloxi. She was preceded in death by her father, George, her mother, Ruby, and older brother, Ronald.
Due to the current Covid situation, a private ceremony honoring her life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in her honor to the Mississippi Aquarium at msaquarium.org so they can continue their work with the dolphins that she so loved.
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve this family.
