Kaye Piner Lane

Mrs. Kaye Piner Lane, 45, of Charlotte, NC, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, due to complications from lung cancer. Kaye was born July 1, 1964, in Pascagoula, to Helen H. Piner and the late Walter H. Piner. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a former 3rd grade teacher at Howard II Elementary School in Biloxi. Kaye was an accomplished vocalist and loved to travel. She attended Woodhaven Baptist church in Ocean Springs before moving to Charlotte, NC in 1995. Kaye is survived by her husband, Richard “Ricky” A. Lane, Jr.; and three children, Logan, Laura and Leah; her mother, Helen Piner; two sisters, Ginny Piner Bosarge and Mary Lee Piner; niece, Ashley Bosarge; and nephew, John Bosarge, all of Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina, 212 S. Tryon Street, Suite 1080, Charlotte, NC 28281. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Woodhaven Baptist Church in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Bellande Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
