Kaye Lynn Taylor, age 75, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, after a short illness at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Kaye was born in Royse City, Texas on May 10, 1949.

Kaye was a long-time resident of Gulfport but recently moved to Hattiesburg. She attended Gulfport High School. Kaye worked at the Harrison County Child Development Center for many years and Goodwill Industries. 

Kaye loved square dancing and bowling with her special group in her younger years. She was an athlete in the Special Olympics from a very early age, having won many gold medals in swimming events. Her hobbies included watching every episode of the original Star Trek series and working Seek-A-Word puzzles. She recently developed a love of Diamond Art and created some very beautiful pieces. 

Kaye was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnye Marie Heard Taylor; father, Delbert Leon Taylor; and her only sibling, Johnnie Leon Taylor. 

She is survived by her very devoted sister- in- law, Karen Byrd Taylor. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 18,2024 at Southern Memorial Park. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Taylor family.
