Ken A. Whittington

Mr. Ken A. Whittington, age 71, of Ocean Springs, MS., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, October 12, 2009. Mr. Whittington was born in the Ramsey Springs Community and had been a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was a longtime member of the Jackson County Fair Board, was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church in Latimer. He was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Whittington, sister, Rita Krause and brother-in-law, Bruce Krause. He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Delores Sheffield Whittington, five daughters, Rhonda (Norbie) Broussard, Libby (Joel) Tiblier, Julie (Jules) Eustice, Sabrina (Roy) Murrell and Hope (Mike) Broussard, his mother, Annie Whittington, sister, Joyce (Vito) Canizaro, two brothers, Glen (Cathy) Whittington, Donnie Whittington, and nine grandchildren, Jerika and Brice Broussard, Matthew and Chase Tiblier, Olivia Eustice, Mitch and Abby Murrell and Beau and Annie Broussard. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM with a 2:30 PM church service, all at the Pine Bluff Baptist Church in George County. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
