Kenneth "Kenny" I. Brummett, 77, of Ocean Springs died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Ocean Springs after a 9 year battle with Progressive Supra - Nuclear Palsy, (P.S.P.).
Mr. Brummett was a native of Texas, a former resident of Kansas City, KS and a resident of the Coast since 1971. He retired after 40 years as a retail sales manager with Colonial Bakery. Mr. Brummett was a charter member of the Elks Lodge in Ocean Springs. He was Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Pansy Brummett, sisters: Lilly Ann Blum, Vera Mae Parker and Betty Minchew, brothers: James, George, Lee Vert, Walter, Phillip Brummett and grandson, Kenneth "Shawn" Grose.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Edith Brummett of Ocean Springs, daughters, Sherry Lamey and Bari Bland of Ocean Springs, sister, Beverly Cardenas and her husband Carlos, 7 grandchildren: Kristi, Scotty, Stacey, Tracey, Joshua, Shannon, 9 great-grandchildren: Lindsey, Kristian, Ali, Abbey, Shelby, Charlie, Daniel, Kenny, Nicholas and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Service will be Monday, December 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Both will be at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
