Kenneth Floyd Smith

Kenneth Floyd Smith, 71, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on June 22, 2011. Ken was born on July 18, 1939 to K. B. and Helen Pyles Smith in Sullivan, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Before moving to Ocean Springs he worked in Sullivan with his family business and spent time on Anna Marie Island, FL owning several businesses there. Moving to the Gulf Coast ten years ago he established a business spanning services to three states. Tri-State Flowers gave him the opportunity to establish many friendships that he cherished until his death. A boating enthusiast he was happiest behind the wheel of one of his boats on the waters of a favorite river or his beloved Gulf. He was a life member of Sullivan's Elks Lodge and enjoyed the membership of yacht clubs from Anna Marie Island to the Gulf Coast. Survivors include his wife, Ann; mother-in-law, Katherine DeSalvo of Morrilton, AR. Children include, Cory (Stacey), K.C. (Angie), Jeff (Dawn) and Jason; sister, Jean (Don) McMahan and his faithful four legged friend, Daisy. Grandchildren include, Alex, Tucker, Eli, Annie, Kelsey, Charlie, Derek and Taylor. Other relatives include, nephews, Bret, Brad and Josh (Mickie) McMahan; grandnieces are Breanna and Payton and grandnephew, Ben. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, IN. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
