Kenneth Jerry Richard, Sr.

Mr. Kenneth Jerry Richard, Sr., age 74, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Thursday, October 20, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Richard was a longtime resident of the community and retired from Blossman Gas Company with over 19 years of service. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs, a member of St. Alphonsus Parish Council and was a Eucharistic Minister. Mr. Richard was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5654. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus Paul and Zoa Roy Richard and grandchildren, Lisa Sullivan and William Olier. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Gaughf Richard of Ocean Springs, two daughters, Diana (Luther) Holcomb of Laurel, and Phyllis (Johnny) Molbert of Ocean Springs, a son, Ken (Kim) Richard of Covington, LA., two sisters, Barbara Kowalski of Foley, AL. and Trudy Breaux of Lacassine, LA., three brothers, James Russell Richard of Iowa, LA., Dale Richard of Jennings, LA. and Gustin Richard of Denton, TX., nine grandchildren, Andrea Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan, Amanda Duplessy, Christina Olier, Michael Olier, Jeremy Olier, Katie Richard, Mitchel Richard and Spencer Richard and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, October 24, 2011, from 11:30 am until 1 pm with a 1 pm Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Burial will follow at 3 pm in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 502 Jackson Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. 39564. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
