Kenneth Lowrel Swarthout, Jr.

Kenneth Lowrel Swarthout died, Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Ocean Springs Hospital. Mr. Swarthout was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 29, 1933. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Korea. A graduate of Mississippi College School of Law in 1960, a member of the Mississippi Bar and Michigan Bar law for 48 years. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Blue Knights, the Jackson County Mounted Patrol, Belle Fountain Baptist Church and a friend of The Sons of The Confederacy. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Roberts Swarthout; one son, Kenneth Lowrel Swarthout, III; two brothers, James David Swarthout and Lindi of Watsonville, California and Richard Lee Swarthout and Barbara of Lavonia, Michigan; sister and brother in law, Sam and Vivian Fulton of Meridian, Mississippi along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe, where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
