Kenneth Melvin Sessoms, Sr, age 69, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Long Beach. He was born in Autryville, NC and was a resident of the Gulf Coast for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from American Linen after over 20 years of service. He was Baptist. His hobby was classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sessoms and Mildred Smith Sessoms; a daughter, Kimberly Sessoms; a brother, Paul M. Sessoms; and a sister, Karen Poche.
Mr. Sessoms is survived by his wife, Judy Dianne Sessoms; a son, Kenneth M. Sessoms; brothers, Bruce (Billie Sue) Sessoms and Bryan Sessoms; sisters, Helen Sessoms, Betty Woody, and Frances Faircloth; grandson, Andrew Sessoms; step-granddaughters, Kayla Cuevas and Lindsey Smith; step-daughters, Nancy Cuevas and Pam Smith.
The memorial service is Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
