Kenneth Jerald Varnadoe

Kenneth Jerald Varnadoe, age 87 left this earthly life peacefully, March 17, 2022, in his sleep after a day spent doing his favorite thing…Fishing! 

Kenneth was a native of Lumber City, Georgia, one of six children born to Earl and Lettie Mae Varnadoe. 

Kenneth, Ken, Kenny was a loving husband to Joyce and a role model father for Kimberly, Michael, and Cheryl. He will be remembered by friends and family as a generous, compassionate friend, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and Great grandfather.

Kenneth joined the US Air Force at the age of 18 and remained enlisted until his Honorable Discharge in 1965. Afterwards, he worked for General Electric and later at Ingalls Shipbuilding where he retired.

Ken leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Joyce Hixon Varnadoe; his children, Kimberly Varnadoe (William) Carden, Michael Varnadoe, Cheryl (John) Masters; grandchildren, William Leighton Carden and Savannah Dey Carden; and Great-granddaughter, Hydelyn Joyce Bryant Carden.
