Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Jacobs, age 37, of Long Beach, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Gulfport. He was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of Long Beach. He was a graduate of Long Beach High School and was an outside machinist. He was a member of Biloxi River Baptist Church, Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Howard "Lefty" Jacobs; and grandparents, Johnnie Barker and James and Geneva Jacobs.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Jacobs of Long Beach; two sons, Hunter Jacobs and Layne Jacobs, both of Long Beach; three step-sons, C.J. Cartee, Brandon Cartee, and Dylan Cartee, all of Mobile, AL; a sister Kayla Jacobs of Gulfport; his mother, Elizabeth Barker Evans and step-father Jimmy Evans of Elkmont, AL; his grandmother, Mary Barker of Long Beach; two uncles, Ronnie Barker of Long Beach and James Jacobs, Jr. of Biloxi and aunts, Kathy and Judy.
The visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Biloxi River Baptist Church in Gulfport. The funeral is Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
