Kenneth Linn Rendell, age 45, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Natchez, MS, his home for the past six years. Kenneth was born in Little Rock, AR, attended Gulfport High School and USM. Kenneth was employed at the Isle of Capri Casino in Natchez as cage manager, where he will be sorely missed as a team member and dear friend. He often sacrificed his own needs for the benefit of others.
Kenneth was considered highly knowledgeable and financially savvy. Kenneth cherished his family and was loved by each member of his family more than words can say. He was his mother’s rock through really tough times. Kenneth could put a smile on your face in even some of the most somber situations and he was an expert at keeping a clear and logical mind in situations when others around him were distraught. There is now a great void in the universe.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Jack Thomas Rendell, his grandmother, Villa Linn Yancey and his step-father, Carl E. Homan. Kenneth is survived by his mother, Barbara J. Homan, a brother, Michael T. Rendell (Shelly), a sister, Elizabeth R. Lloyd (Robert), three nieces, Selina Walsh (Matthew), Sierra Rendell, and Dakota Rendell and three nephews, Robby Lloyd, Brandon Lloyd and Nicholas Lloyd and a great-niece, Madison Renae Walsh; his dearest friend, Mickey Miller and a host of other friends.
A special thanks goes out to all the staff at the Isle of Capri Casino in Natchez, MS and the Crown Jewels of de Nile Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
Visitation will begin Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with services commencing at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Long Beach, MS.
