Kerry Deon Stallings, born in Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2025, at the age of 64, after a short battle with cancer.
Kerry retired from the Army as Sergeant First Class in July 2002 after a 22- year career. A dedicated and proud veteran, he continued his career in aviation with the MS National Guard as a Blackhawk Technical Inspector for another 23 years.
Kerry was a loving husband, son, stepfather, brother, uncle, and step-grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly Annette Stallings; his in-laws, Kenneth and Catherine (LaRussa) Smitherman; two stepsons, Richard A Black (Misty) and Cody W Black (Brittany); and three step-grandchildren, Blake, Christian and Huett. He is also survived by his parents, Larry Gene and Laverne (Blagg) Stallings; his sister, Kay Drummond (Charlie) and his nephew Cody Drummond and niece, Kasey Drummond.
Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service with military honors at 4:00 p.m. at the O'Neal Road Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O'Neal Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
