MSgt Kevin Lee Johnson, age 50, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Air to Ground Range, Camp Shelby, MS. Kevin was born in Flint, Michigan and lived in McHenry, MS. MSgt Johnson served his country honorably by serving in the United States Navy and the Mississippi Air National Guard, assigned to the Combat Readiness Training Center, Gulfport, MS. Kevin was an extremely loving and devoted family man. He enjoyed competition pistol matches, played bass guitar, was learning to play the cello, and was always ready for a good game of golf. Kevin had a wonderful sense of humor and will sorely be missed by his family, co-workers and friends.
Kevin is survived by his wife Janey Johnson, daughter Rosemary, and step-daughter Carly. He is also survived by his father, Eugene Cohoon and step-mother Zelma Cohoon, his mother Jonnie Mestier, as well as his siblings Terry Cohoon, Carolyn Anastasio, Catharine Johnson, Karen Kucharczyk, among other close family.
Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on O’Neal Road, Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Services will also be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on O’Neal Road on Friday 13, 2012 at 10:00AM, followed by the internment at Rocky Creek Cemetery in Lucedale, MS.
