Mr. Kevin Joseph Lechner, born August 22, 1960, passed away at Gulfport Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 8, 2006.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Lechner, and a brother, Henry "Greg" Lechner, III, of Biloxi. He is survived by Debra and Dave Deaver and Francie and Mark Blackmon, all of D'Iberville, and Ellen and Dedric LeBoeuf of Houma, LA, and Reginald and Cathy Lechner of South Bend, IN.
Kevin was loved by all his family and referred to by his many nephews and nieces, Reginald Lechner, Jr., Shawn Lechner, Joshua Lechner, David Deaver, Jr., Phillip Deaver, Dedric LeBoeuf, Jr., Danielle LeBoeuf, Kellie Blackmon, Zondra Deaver, and Angie, Christine and Keith Oakes, as their "favorite uncle". He kept his boyhood enthusiasm throughout his life by having many hobbies and interests. He was an avid fisherman who loved technology and always had the latest gadgets. His hobbies over the years included flying remote controlled airplanes and keeping beautiful salt water tanks filled with exotic marine life. Kevin was always eager to help his family and friends in any way he could and inherited his mother's love by being contradictory just for the entertainment of the conflict that resulted and was always vocal and opinionated. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1244, of Biloxi. He will be dearly missed by his family and many frineds.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2006, from 5 until 8 p.m., with recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m., at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
