Kevin Michael Reed

Mr. Kevin Michael Reed, 24, of St. Martin, joined his father, Mike Reed; paternal grandparents, Prentiss and Ozella Reed; and maternal grandfather, Earl F. Batia, Sr., in heaven, Sunday, September 27, 2009. Kevin was born February 5, 1985, in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of the St. Martin Community where he attended St. Martin High School. He enjoyed fishing, camping, kneeboarding, mud riding, building trucks and hanging out with his friends. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and his outgoing personality. Kevin is survived by his mother, Debbi Reed of Vancleave; sister, Kelli Watson and her husband, Keith, of D'Iberville; maternal grandmother, Vicki Batia of Vancleave; and nephew, Karsen Watson of D'Iberville. Also included with those who will miss Kevin are his aunts and uncles, Kathy and Keith Tiblier, Earl (his godfather) and Jeannie Batia, Mikey and Angie Batia, and Eugene "Mousey" and Dora Reed; his godmother, Renee Wynn; three special lifelong friends, B. J. Rogers, Shane Sheppard and Kyle Mallette; numerous family members; his special friend, Christina Lapasinski; and his faithful companion, Chaos. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the emergency and public safety responders who assisted in the recovery of our beloved Kevin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
