Kimball Louise Smallwood, 71, of Gulfport died Thursday, August 6, 2009 in Gulfport. She was born in Picayune and had been a Gulfport resident since 1964. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 45 years, and a member of Gulfport Yacht Club and Windance Country Club. She volunteered at Feed My Sheep in Gulfport. Her passions in life were cooking, golfing, fishing, and doing things for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Kimball and Edna Mae Russ. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bill Smallwood of Gulfport; a son, Russ (Natalie) Smallwood of Gulfport; a daughter, Jill (Keith) Bloomer of Roswell, GA; two sisters, Charlotte Ann (Henry) Capdepon of Gulfport and Glenda Marlene Merrill of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren, Sarah Alice, Carrie Grace, William Grayson and Kimball Chase Smallwood of Gulfport and Haley Kimball and Kelsey Bray Bloomer of Roswell, GA; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 a.m. Kimball preferred memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church, 5007 Lawson Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39507 or the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
