Kyle Nelson Higginbotham, 51, of Biloxi, MS passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home.
Kyle was born on August 15, 1969 to Carey and Gloria Higginbotham. As a child Kyle enjoyed playing sports and was a mischievous baby brother of a large Biloxi family. He graduated from D’Iberville High School in 1989.
Kyle was a tradesman that always worked hard! He worked beside his brother Kevin for several years building screen enclosures. He also worked for the cities of Ocean Springs and currently Biloxi. The work he was most proud of (as was everyone who knew and loved him) was as a servant to God and his beloved community by feeding, clothing and providing necessities to the homeless and those in need. Kyle was also a member of the French Club for many years where he will be remembered for his pool game bets, cutting a rug on the dance floor and his famous egg rolls.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carey Higginbotham; and his grandparents, Nelson and Edna Higginbotham and Olen and Johnnie Bonner.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Gloria Higginbotham; his stepfather, Al Dehon; his sisters, Kim Gex, Karee (Brian) Broom and Kyra (Lance) Monk; his brother, Kevin Higginbotham; his nieces and nephews, Trey, Nikki, Clinton (CC), Aaron, Allyson, Jared, Max and Danaher; and his great nieces and nephews, Ashli, Travis, Charlotte, Hartwell, Caroline and Sewall. He will be missed by his fur babies, Kimbo and CoCo; his dearest friend, Bud; his love, Amanda; and the legion of people who knew him and called him their brother and friend.
In lieu of flowers, Kyle’s family has requested donations be made to a homeless shelter, food pantry or soup kitchen of your choice in remembrance of Kyle so he can continue to Spread-Da-Love.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 12:00 pm. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time. Due to Covid 19, everyone is required to wear a mask.
