Lan Thi Nguyen, 44, passed away on November 19, 2014 in Ocean Springs MS. She was born on June 30, 1970 in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and both grandparents.
Lan is survived by her husband, Tommy Hai To; 3 children, Christina, Anthony and Katie To; parents, Xuan and Gai Nguyen; 7 sisters, Tuoi (Phuong), Kim Hoa (Huong), Nickie Nga (Donavon), Hue ( Aries), Hong (Dustin), My-Linh and Ngoc Thanh; 1 brother, Tan (Susan); 16 nieces and nephews.
She came to the United States in 1975 and moved to the MS Gulf Coast in 1977. She graduated in 1990 from Biloxi High School and attended Jeff Davis Community College. She married Tommy Hai To in 1993. She worked with St. Martin School system teaching Bilingual classes. She also worked at Gruich Pharmacy for many years before starting her career with Social Security Administration in 2001.
Lan was a devout Catholic and an active member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Latimer, MS where she was a CCD teacher.
Lan is loved by so many. She will never be forgotten and will greatly be missed by all the lives she has touched with her bright smile and big heart.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 26th and Friday, November 28th from 2-4pm and Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 8am until procession time at 9:40 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am at Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
