Lanell “Dea” Wilson, 59, of Gautier, MS passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Ocean Springs.
Dea was born in Galveston, TX on December 21, 1963 to Robbie Dean Smith and Wynell Stewart. She graduated from MacArthur High School. Dea was a full-time mom and a food and beverage secretary with the IP Casino, where she received numerous recognitions during her 24 year career. She loved to play board games with her family and friends. Dea's favorite moments were when she was spending time with her family and friends whether it be watching a movie, having dinner or just sitting down for a visit. Dea was the most devoted and loyal friend who touched so many people with her time here on earth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Wilson; her mother, Wynell Stewart; her son, Chase Wilson; and her beloved family dog, Pepper.
Dea’s survivors include her father, Robbie Dean Smith; her daughter, Nicole Wilson; her sister, Denise Smith Roush; and her cat, Angel.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 4:30 pm. Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dea’s IP Family.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to a Go Fund Me account set up in Dea’s name to assist the family with the cost of the services.
