Larry A. Williams, age 63 of Biloxi, passed away May 30, 2010 at USA Medical Center in Mobile, AL.
Larry was born in Biloxi and graduated from Biloxi High School in 1964. He was a graduate of Perkinston Junior College. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 39 years in 2007. He retired from the Army National Guard and was a member of the 138th S&S Batallion. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #606.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Henry "Buster" Williams; mother, Mabel (Hill) Williams; and a sister, Patricia A. (David) Hammond.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 42 years, Sharyn Kay Plylar Williams; a daughter, Sharonda (Chris) Hampton of Mt. Juliet, TN and Cindy (Chris) Walker of Biloxi; his grandchildren, Cade and Avery Hampton and Madison and Logan Walker; a special niece, Laurie Monk of D'Iberville; many nieces and nephews, a big family, many, many friends and his two fishing "amigos" Ron Pullen and John Pugh.
Larry was a loving husband, a great Daddy, and a wonderful "Paw-Paw". He was a good man.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Service will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will be on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Biloxi Elks Lodge #606 Scholarship Fund.
