Larry James Baird

Larry James “Yogi” Baird, age 67, of Saucier, MS passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Gulfport. Larry was born on December 6, 1963 in Port Huron, Michigan and graduated from Port Huron Northern, class of 1973. He was employed at Huron Tool for 35 years and dedicated his life to his career. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and camping. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dolores Baird and a brother Paul Baird. Larry is survived by his spouse Mary Marie Akers Baird; children Steven Thomas Baird and Valerie Cohoon (James); grandchildren Willy Cohoon, Najolene Baird, North Baird, Sirena Baird, Killian Cohoon and Roslia Baird; siblings Donna Bixler, Mark Baird, Darlene Somerville (Scott) and Kenneth Baird (Laurie); multiple nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and Munchkin, the dog. There will be a visitation on Friday, October 15, 2021, where friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the O’Neal Road Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Baird family.
