Larry Carl Dixon, a native of Mobile, Al passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the age of 59. Larry was born in Detroit, MI on October 31, 1958.
Larry entered into the Armed Forces in 1979, at age 21. Larry later received further education at Brown Mackey College where he studied Criminal Justice. His quest was to work with youth in helping them to understand the Criminal Justice System.
Larry later joined the work force with the Goodwill Industries of America, where he made many loving and lifelong friends. Larry loved his family, friends, and he loved his country with great dignity. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age. His encompassing soul was only lent to this earth for a brief period of time, where he was adorned and admired as a Son, Brother, and Friend...He will always be our "Hero".
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, The Great John Henry Dixon, Sr. and Barbara Jean Dixon; and his baby brother, Anthony Paul Dixon.
He was survived by his siblings, Michael Dixon, Debra Lett, John (Edna) Dixon and Cheryl Franks; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; and his devoted friends, Harold Carter, Debra Frazier and Kiyandi Jones.
Celebration of Life Services for Larry will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
