Larry Jones

Mr. Larry Jones, Sr., 57, of Woolmarket, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, in Gulfport of heart failure. Mr. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. He was a street rod enthusiast and participated in the annual "Cruisin The Coast". He loved to dine out with his wife and friends and devoted his final years to the activities of his children and grandchildren. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Mildred Newman Jones, and a sister, Shirley Swiney. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sandra Jones; a daughter, Christy Druey and her husband, Richard; two sons, Larry Jones, Jr. and his wife Sherrell, and Daniel Jones and his wife, Kim, all of Woolmarket; three sisters, Melba Hendry and Judy Waits of Latimer and Diane Jones of Florida; two brothers, Lamar "Sonny" Jones, Jr. of Ocean Springs, and Kenny Jones of D'Iberville; ten grandchildren, Ashten Jones, Bryce Jones,(and their mother, Bonnie Jones) Ashten Woods, James Woods, Luke Woods, Savanna Jones, Larry "Trey" Jones, III, Jordan Druey, Blake Druey, and Kelsey Druey, all of Woolmarket. Visitation is Tuesday, March 20, 2007, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at D'Iberville Christian Assembly at 11 a.m. where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Coalville Cemetery.
