Larry Dale Sherman

Larry Dale Sherman, "Larry Dale," went to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 while at home with his loving family. He was a true miracle of God at only 56 years old. He was a survivor of Covid, double pneumonia, diabetic ketoacidosis, septic shock, a massive heart attack, a massive stroke & a stage 4 bedsore. He fought in & out of facilities for 7 long months before 

going home with his family for the past year. God blessed his family with a miracle with the time he shared with them. 

Larry Dale was born on December 22nd, 1966 in Biloxi, MS to Forrest and Dorothy (Holley) Sherman. He attended St. Martin High School and never met a stranger. He went on to become a door builder at Wicks/Bailey Lumber until retirement due to a back injury. He was a very kind hearted, loving, and giving man. He would lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved enjoying Cruisin’ the Coast yearly, hotrods, racing, and had a serious need for speed. He loved "junking" and made many new friends along the way, by introducing himself and hauling off any and everything they needed gone. 

Larry was a very involved family man and loved unconditionally. He was a loving grandfather and loved his grandbabies with every ounce of his being. He married the love of his life on March 8, 1996 and let everyone know that Trudy was his best friend and soul mate. 

He is proceeded in death by parents, Forrest & Dorothy (Holley) Sherman; aunt, Joyce Holley Olier; uncles, Dolphie Holley, Howard “Junior” Holley, James “Sonny” Holley, Delmas Holley, Harvey Holley, Jackie Holley, Elvin Holley and Buddy Brosh; and grandparents, Howard Holley Sr and Nettie Holley. 

He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 27 years, Trudy Sherman; daughter, Megan (Jeremy) Graham; son, Larry Sherman Jr.; grandchildren, Jayden Litke, Trevor Litke, Morgan Litke, Megan Sherman, and Larry Sherman III; brothers, Lyman (Tina) Sherman, Dolphie (Toni) Sherman, and Dawayne (Charlotte) Sherman; aunts, Marilyn Ann Holley, Christine Brosh, and Johnnie Holley; and uncle, Tyrone Olier. 

A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
