Mrs. Lartha Anglin Marroy, 61, of Long Beach, MS, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007. She will be remembered by all that love and miss her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (“Granny”), sister, aunt, “Nanny”, and a wonderful friend to many.
Mrs. Marroy was born on September 16, 1945 in Panama City, FL. She is a longtime resident of Long Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Marroy and three children, David Marroy, Cynthia Marroy Foy, and her husband, Lamar, and Joseph Marroy, and his wife, Jennifer. Mrs. Marroy also leaves behind six grandchildren: Kaleb, Aidia, Logan, Aylinn, Ryan, Gavin, and Reece. She is also survived by 4 siblings: Martha Brown, Sarah Rupard, James Anglin, and Eula Leaber. In addition, Mrs. Marroy leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous “adopted” family members.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Perry and Lois Anglin, her twin brother, Sidney “Pete” Anglin, and her sisters, Ruth Phillips and Louise Umbel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home located on 15452 O’Neal Road in Gulfport. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.in the funeral home chapel followed by burial at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
