Laura Mae Davis-Scarborough

Mrs. Laura Davis Scarborough, age 83, of Hattiesburg, MS., died Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Hattiesburg. Mrs. Scarborough was a former longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.N. Scarborough, her parents, Fred and Tesola Fountain Davis, two sisters, Lessie Hinkle and Bessie Davis and two brothers, Jessie J. Davis and Wilson Davis. Survivors include two sons, Gary Scarborough and Shelton Scarborough, a sister, Loraine Schneider, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 6, 2008, from 5-8 PM, with a 7:30 PM Rosary, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, April 7, 2008, there will be an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where Mrs. Scarborough will lie in state from 10 - 11 AM. Burial will follow in Seymour Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
