Mrs. LaVone "Bonnie" Patterson Bassham, 75, of Gulfport, MS, died Friday, January 19, 2007, in Jacksonville, FL.
Mrs. Bassham was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and had been a resident of the coast for the past 32 years. She was a member of the Gulfport Church of God and manager of Deep South Flea Market. She worked for Mississippi Press for five years and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Bassham was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Arthur Patterson, and her second husband of five years, Vester Bassham; her grandson, Robert Dube, and her parents, Glenn and Margaret Lamb. Survivors include four daughters, Joan Andre of Jacksonville, FL, Marie Odom of Gulfport, Lavone "Sissy" Lollar and her husband, Heze "Scooter" of Gautier, and Deanna Duncan and Steve Magruder of Gulfport; one son, Gerald "Jay" Patterson-Dube of Gulfport; a brother, William Lamb of Ackerman, MS; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, her loving friend, Brenda Bucci, of Gulfport, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2007, from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services are Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs.
