Lee Charles Morris, Jr.

Mr. Lee Charles Morris, Jr., 82, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Morris was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict and retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company. Mr. Morris was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Biloxi Council 1244. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elsy Songy Morris of Biloxi; three daughters, Lanell Carroll and her husband, Drew, of Birmingham, AL, Marjorie Parker and her husband, Carl, of Saucier, Paula Karonika and her husband, Mar "Tooter", of Houston, TX, and Diane Simon and her husband, Paul, and their children, of Canada; three sons, Lee Morris, III, and his wife, Cheryl, of Virginia Beach, VA, Neil Morris and his wife, Debbie of Saucier, and Donald Morris and his wife, Cheryl, of Pittsburg, PA; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family of Mr. Morris wishes to thank the staff of Ocean Springs Nursing Center for the loving care they provided. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park.
