Lee O. Jordan, 75, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1935 in Forrest County, MS. Mr. Jordan was in the Naval Reserves for six years and a PFC in the US Army. He was a graduate of Engineering Flight school in CA, a pilot for Alaska Airlines, he was also a private bush pilot in Alaska, a flight instructor at Robbins Airborne in Gulfport, MS and a retired fish spotter. Mr. Jordan was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason with Polar Star Lodge 154, Gulfport.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Lee and Ira Estelle Parker Jordan of Biloxi; brother-in-law, Joseph Blais also of Biloxi.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Mary Gloria Skinner Jordan (daughter of Lucille Gonsoulin Skinner and William K. Skinner, Biloxi) of 58 years in Gulfport, MS; two children, Deborah Lee Jordan Sackett, wife of William A Sackett; son, Lance Jordan of Gulfport, MS; six grandchildren, one great-grandson, four great-great-grandsons; sister, Genoble Blais; brother, Robert Reece Jordan and his wife, Gloria all of Biloxi and numerous nieces and nephews that adored him and his wily sense of humor and adventurous spirit.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
