Lee T. Fayard, Sr. 90, passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
Mr. Fayard was a lifelong resident of Woolmarket. He retired from the Gulfport Cresote Plant. He was a lifelong member of Coalville United Methodist Church and attended White Plains Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, beekeeping and giving honey to his friends. His greatest enjoyment was visiting with his friends and family on the front porch swing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Plummer Fayard, his parents, Willie Washington Fayard and Etha Taylor Fayard, brothers, Jack Fayard, Frank Fayard, Charles Fayard, Julian Fayard, Woodrow Fayard, Everett Fayard, sister, Ava Mae Felsher, and granddaughter, Lea Ann Fayard.
Lee is survived by his children, Lee T. (Joe) Fayard, Fred Fayard and Julian Fayard, all of Woolmarket, daughter, Nancy F. Willis of Lake Toxaway, NC, sister, Burdonne Young of Biloxi, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Graveside service in Coalville Cemetery following the service.
